My name is Brooke and I am so happy you found me! Since you landed on my page I know you are looking for travel tips, ideas, and possibly travel itineraries for exploring National Parks along with mountain destinations, and some of our random favorite US locations. Am I right?
Well, you are in the right place! Our family of 5 loves to travel and there isn’t a place we wouldn’t take our kids, ages 18, 15, and 11. We love the mountains and exploring National Parks so, on most vacations, you will find us there. Except when we escape the long, cold winter in Minnesota, you’ll find us on the beach! Our kids are very accustomed to flying, long road trips (3000+ miles), camping, and even cruises. In fact, they love traveling as much as we do and they have a lot of input on the places we visit.
As a family of 5, vacations can be expensive and prices can be shocking. We travel to places that fit our middle-income budget, including camping, and want to share those places with YOU! I have many tips, resources, and information to help you and your family enjoy some of the amazing destinations that we have enjoyed. Hint: I would never lead you on a vacation that is ridiculously expensive.
I bet you’re wondering how we got the “travel bug”? My husband Ben and I have always wanted our children to be able to explore as many destinations as possible as we ourselves were fortunate as kids to travel (camping in tents). In fact, we find our most treasured moments are when we are together as a family traveling. The most important things in life are not things, they are memories.
I am a nurse and my husband is a home builder and we live a very busy life with 3 active kiddos and we call Minnesota home. Travel is our passion and we hope you find what we have to offer helpful in planning your family trips.
